Currently, the Library has 9 study rooms available for single occupancy use on the 2nd floor.

Each room has a table and chair, white board, wireless and plug-in internet connection, and electrical outlets. Additionally, some study rooms are equipped with LCD panels.

Please be prepared to bring your own whiteboard markers and erasers.

You may consume drinks, eat food, and remove your mask while you're studying if the study room door is closed.

Study rooms are cleaned each morning by Housekeeping staff between 7:00am – 9:00am.  You are expected to clean your reserved study room using the supplies on the blue sanitation cart before you begin to study.

Guidelines:

  • Study rooms are single occupancy.
  • Study rooms are for study purposes only.
  • Rooms may be reserved for two hours a day.
  • You may reserve rooms up to two weeks in advance.
  • Study rooms must be reserved before use.
  • Rooms are self-monitoring. If someone is in a room that you have reserved, kindly ask them to leave or go to the Information Services Desk and ask for assistance.
  • UM faculty, staff & students may reserve rooms using their University of Maryland email address.
